Effects of High- and Low-digestibility DDGS and Dietary Inclusion Rates on Grow/Finish Performance and Carcass Characteristics

The periodic inclusion and removal of 40 per cent dried distillers grains with solubles (DDGS) from the diets of finishing pigs did not adversely affect growth performance or carcass characteristics regardless of the amino acid digestibility of DDGS being fed, concluded Dr Gerald Shurson of the University of Minnesota in a study report for Pork Checkoff.
