BURCH DGS
Mycoplasma vaccination - one shot or two?

BO98417
Criteria for one or two shot mycoplasma vaccination programs in the UK are discussed with reference to those described by Paul Yeske in the USA. The single dose program is considered more suitable in the following situations: PRRS stable herds, lower mycoplasma challenge, low MDAs, high vaccination compliance. By contrast, the two dose program is advisable in case of: unstable herds with higher health challenge (PRRS and PCV2), high mycoplasma challenge, unknown, variable or high MDAs levels, low vaccination compliance.
