Bulletin No. 21 - Spring 2005
Summary
This spring issue of the Merial Swine Bibliographic Bulletin contains recent information about PRRSV immunology. Progress in that field may be expected from the basic research in the coming years since a particular funding effort has been made by the National Pork Board in the United States. A conference from the International Society for Animal Hygiene held in St Malo last October touched many general topics including an in depth Influenza. The efficacy comparison between conventional C-strain ML vaccines (Pestiffa) and sub-unit marker vaccines in the scope of emergency ring vaccination appears particularly interesting to decide for a European strategy.
