Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) virus-specific interferon-γ+ T-cell responses after PRRS virus infection or vaccination with an inactivated PRRS vaccine.
Viral Immunology, 2005, Volume 18, N°2, 381-389
In order to assess the immune responses following infection with porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) virus and vaccination with an inactivated vaccine, pigs were vaccinated with PROGRESSIS® (MERIAL, Lyon, France) and then infected with a PRRS virus strain. The analyses then conducted (ELISPOT assay, flow cytometry and statistical analysis) showed that the vaccine induced a significant production of CD4+ CD8int+ and CD8high virus-specific T cells.
