The recombinant nonstructural polyprotein NS1 of porcine parvovirus (PPV) as diagnostic antigen in ELISA to differentiate infected from vaccinated pigs.
Veterinary Research Communications, 2006, Volume 30, N°2, 175-190
The description of an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) using the recombinant nonstructural polyprotein NS1 as antigen and allowing to differentiate between pigs infected with porcine parvovirus (PPV) and pigs vaccinated with a PPV inactivated vaccine is reported. Specificity and sensitivity of this assay reached 100% and 88% respectively, suggesting that it could be used for disease diagnosis and surveillance.
