In this paper, the author informs the readers of the new tariffs for fattening pigs and also about the new classification of pigs, now expressed in carcass muscle content, that were implemented on December 18th, 2006 in France. For a delivery to the slaughterhouse the highest price is obtained when homogeneity in a narrower range of carcass weight is reached (85 to 95kg with a 58 to 59 muscle rate).
