In January, 2008 concerns were raised and a hearing requested to review the Ontario Pork Producers’ Marketing Board (Ontario Pork) role in the marketing of hogs to consider Ontario Pork’s role in serving the pork industry. In May 28, 2008 the Farm Products Marketing Board Commission held a pre-hearing meeting for input on what issues should be discussed at the hearing. Twenty -seven participants filed written submissions and twenty-three made presentations.
