Whilst it is free to add an event listing to ThePigSite's Events pages, this method of promotion relies on users visiting the listings page and seeing the listing amongst all the others.

ThePigSite.com is the leading news and technical resource to the global poultry industry, receiving some 150,000 visitors and over 100,000 unique IP's per month. In addition, the site has a well regarded newsletter that goes out to over 20,000 industry personnel each week (as at Jan 2009). By promoting your event on our sites you will be actively reaching your global target audience. There are two events packages:
  1. Event Advertiser - Aimed at short to medium term event advertising runs
  2. Event Partner - Aimed at long term corportate branding and event advertising

1. Event Advertiser

Banner advert top right of home page There are 5 elements to the Event Advertiser package which is targeted at companies who are looking to promote a specific event for between one and six months:
  1. Prominent Banner advert in the top right hand corner of the relevant web site's home page. This banner is 220px x 60px and the creation of this banner is included in the price. The banner will link to either a page of your choice or to a full page advert on the relevant site, which again, we will build as part of the package.
  2. Banner advert on the event listing. The banner advert that is placed on the home page is also placed on the listing in the events listings page, making the listing more prominent.
  3. Full page advert (optional) promoting your event. This page will look similar to your own web site/page and contain all the relevant detail. We will build this advert page for you as part of the package.
  4. Promotion of the event in our weekly newsletters that goes out to over 18,000 industry professionals globally. This is achieved by the placement of the banner advert in the "Events section" which is at the top right hand corner of the newsletter. "Text Reminders" are also published in the newsletter the two weeks prior to the event.
  5. Publication of news releases associated with the event. These will be published in the web site's news section and also in the weekly newsletter.

Event Advertiser Costs

The cost is dependant upon how many months you would like to have an advert running for. Prices are in Pounds Sterling but payment may be made in either Euros or US Dollars (equivalent) if preferred. Multi-site discounts apply and special discounts are sometimes available during "quiet" periods. Please ask.
    One month £500 (approx. €600; or US$750)
    Two months £950 (approx. €1,100; or US$1,400)
    Three months £1,200 (approx. €1,350; or US$1,800)
    Six months £2,250 (approx. €2,600; or US$3,400)

2. Event Partner

The Event Partner package is targeted at the Event companies who are looking to continuously promote multiple events with the added benefits of significantly enhancing their brand awareness. This is a rolling annual package.

In addition to the above package for each event, the company also receives the benefits of becoming one of our site wide partners, which are limited to a maximum of 15. These additional benefits include:
  • Sponsorship of the Conference and Events topic section (via showcase advert)
  • A text link with logo fly-out in the high profile partners section in the main navigation menu, linking to a...
  • full width landing page promoting all the events with onward links to the relevant event website/pages.
  • Publication of all event news releases and technical articles.
  • Headlines/links on the landing page to all the above published news and articles.
  • Advert (350px 200px) in the Conferences and Events Products and Services section linking to your landing page.
  • Showcase advert shown on a shared rotational basis within the news and articles pages.
  • Creation of the Showcase advert (220px x 90px), the Products and Services advert (350px x 200px) and the full width Landing Page are all included in the package.

Event Advertiser Costs

The price for the Event Partnership package is £900 (approx. €1000/US$1450) per month on an annual basis. The number of Partners is limited to a maximum of fifteen (15). Full details available on request, discounts apply for multisite agreements.
