IMV technologies SPACE SHOW 2009
During the 23rd edition of the Space show, held in Rennes from September 15th to 18th, IMV confirmed its position as a leader in reproductive biotechnologies.

Almost 110,000 visitors were able to visit over 1300 exhibitors including 30% international companies. 10,000 international visitors made the trip to Rennes.

In addition to a booth in the swine and in the poultry halls, IMV Technologies organized a conference on Thursday. The topic discussed was “The latest advancements in animal reproduction and their impact for production centers”, and drawn over 80 invited guests. During this event, the participants received the latest information on semen analysis using flow cytometry and participated in live demonstrations of the EasyCyte, the new compact flow cytometer from IMV Technologies.



SAFEMATE and GEDIS at the WPX
The world Pork Expo was held in the USA the first week of June. Safemate and Gedis retained a lot of attention. One stud has been using the Safemate for 8 months in the USA: 85% of boars work great with Safemate and the stud cut its labor force by half for the same number of doses.



Technical seminar held in Poland
IMSEM and IMV Technologies organized a technical seminar presenting the new advancement in swine AI. The advantages of using the latest technologies in AI centers were discussed in detail. The use of automated collection system coupled with new type of packaging machines, more users friendly can help AI centers boost their productivity and semen sanitation level. The use of high protective media to better organized the work load and increase on farm performances was also debated. At last, Dr C. Staub introduced the latest tool in semen quality evaluation, the Easy Cyte, which gives information about the cell physiology not available to common boar studs today.
