SCOURMUNE®
SCOURMUNE® is recommended for use in healthy pregnant gilts and sows to aid in the prevention of neonatal pig diarrhea caused by E. coli expressing pili types K88, K99, 987P and Type 1.

Features and Benefits:
  • Exclusive Type 1 protection. SCOURMUNE is the only vaccine that protects against Type 1 pili, the type on 93% of the E. coli strains isolated in a major study (Bactex, Inc.; Brinton, et al, University of Pittsburgh).
  • First milk protection. Newborns receive scours protection in colostrum the first time they nurse gilts or sows vaccinated with SCOURMUNE.
  • Reduced mortality. A reduction in total E. coli piglet death losses from birth to weaning has been demonstrated in field studies.
  • Small 2 mL dose.

SCOURMUNE®-C is recommended for use in healthy pregnant gilts and sows to aid in the prevention of colibacillosis caused by E. coli expressing pili types K88, K99, 987P and Type 1 and enterotoxemia caused by C. perfringens Type C.

Features and Benefits:
  • Exclusive Type 1 protection. SCOURMUNE-C is the only vaccine that protects against Type 1 pili, the type on 93% of the E. coli strains isolated in a major study (Bactex, Inc.; Brinton, et al, University of Pittsburgh).
  • Protects two ways. Protects baby pigs against two major causes of scours E. coli and C. perfringens Type C organisms.
