Nuflor is used for the treatment of acute outbreaks of respiratory disease caused by strains of Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae and Pasteurella multocida susceptible to florfenicol. Such diseases might include pneumonia, lung consolidation, lung, nasal and joint infections and meningitis.

Pharmacokinetic studies of florfenicol show that Nuflor 2.3% Concentrate Solution goes to work almost immediately, reaching therapeutic concentrations in blood and tissues rapidly after administration.
Following administration in drinking water, florfenicol concentrates remain above 1.0 µg/mL for the duration of the treatment period.

Indications
Nuflor 2.3% Concentrate Solution is indicated for the treatment of swine respiratory disease associated with Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida, Salmonella choleraesuis, and Streptococcus suis Type 2 in swine.
