Print This Page Sixth case of foot and mouth confirmed
UK - Defra have confirmed another case of foot and mouth on a farm in southern England, the sixth outbreak of the disease since August.The farm concerned is within one of the three-km protection zones set up to contain the disease after the first outbreak in the Surrey area.
All cattle on the farm have been destroyed and restrictions on the movement and sale of animals are in force within the protection zone.
