General Items:

  • The Training Manager is related to the managerial category.
  • The Training Manager is appointed to this position and dismissed from this position by the Order from the General Manager.
  • The Training Manager reports directly to the Executive Manager and General Manager.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Fully responsible for all kinds of training activity on the Sites.
  • Carries out procedure training to achieve the optimum result.
  • Informs the Management on the discovered problems and agrees the solutions on how to eliminate the problems.
  • Trains employees on the fulfillment of the health and safety procedures.
  • Realizes the fulfillment of the General Manager Orders and the Executive Manager Orders.
  • Responsible for the training of proper animal treatment and euthanasia.
  • Assists in the maintaining and amendments of standard operating procedures manuals and audits site manuals for proper documents.
  • Responsible for ongoing development of training formats to ensure the knowledge and skill level of employees is well tested and documented.
  • Develops and introduces training plans.
  • Determines materials needed to conduct proper training.
  • Works in a manner that motivates employees to achieve optimum results.
  • Develops and produces training materials as they relate to farm needs or requests.
  • Works to improve training abilities by reading relevant journals, attending classes and attending seminars as agreed by Management.
  • Develops presentations and leads group interaction during classroom training.
  • Replace the Executive Manager in his absence

Qualifications:

Education and experience; 2 or 4 year degree within an agriculture-based major and 5-10 plus years of swine production management experience preferred.

Experience:

Candidates with 5 plus years of swine management experience and a proven track record will be considered in lieu of education. References will be required.

Knowledge and Skill:

  • Ability to prepare and present effective Power Point presentations.
  • Proficient in the use of computer software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Ability to work successfully with limited supervision.
  • Display a high level of leadership skills with abilities to influence a group of people.
  • The ability to teach others in a second language would be an advantage.
  • Ability to prepare and present training plans to upper management.
  • Must be self motivated and pro-active with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to configure training environments both classroom and onsite.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
