Porcine Enteropathy (PE)

(280) This disease is associated with changes in the intestines. PE is seen in four forms, bloody gut or porcine haemorrhagic enteropathy (PHE), intestinal adenopathy (PIA), necrotic enteritis (NE) and regional ileitis (RI). All are uncommon in the mature female but outbreaks of PHE are not uncommon in maiden and pregnant gilts.
