Ivomec: For Mange free pigs!

Mange is caused by a small skin parasite Sarcoptes scabiei. The life cycle of the mite is at least 3 weeks and disease therefore will be rarely seen in the sucking piglet but infection is often picked up from the carrier sow at this time. However it is a common disease in the weaned and growing pig and adult animals. Control is by treating the sow pre-farrowing.
