Two veterinarians join the Vétoquinol Group
Media release from Vétoquinol Business Development and Swine Marketing

Lure, France, February 24th, 2004 - Vétoquinol has just engaged two new veterinarians, showing its commitment to international development, in particular on the swine segment.

CHRISTIAN SCHIRVEL - Deputy-Director of Business Development Christian will be in charge of partnerships, licensing-in of new products and licensing-out of non-strategic products.

Background: He graduated in the University of Liège (Belgium) as a DVM in 83 and MSc (Animal Production) in 1987, he was a researcher in pig genetics between 1984 and 1988. He joined Rhône Mérieux in 1988 as Head of Corporate Swine Technical Services. Several promotions led him in 1997 to become Corporate Senior Director of Strategic Development and Global Marketing for swine products with Merial. In 2000, he joined Parteurop Developpement as a Consultant in biotechnology and biopharmacy.

JOHN DE CLEER - International product manager - Livestock John de Cleer joins the international marketing team of Vétoquinol as international product manager for the pig product range.

John co-ordinates the marketing support efforts for the Group products for swine: Marbocyl, Tolfine/Tolfedine CS, Amoxinsol/Cebin amoxicillina, Reprocine, etc., mostly in Europe and Asia.

He will also be involved in the growth of this range, within the project teams for products being developed, and closely working with the business development team (see above).

He graduated as a DVM in the University of Liège (Belgium) in 1984, John had a veterinary practice in Belgium. In 1992, he came to France and joined the swine production group ARCO, where he was in charge of pharmacy and farm follow-up. From 1998, John was swine industrial range manager with Fort-Dodge France.

Through this arrival, the Vétoquinol group confirms its strategic commitment to the swine market.
