GB Animal Feed Statistical Notice - Review of July 2012
The latest national statistics on GB Animal Feed produced by Defra were released on 6th September 2012 according
to the arrangements approved by the UK Statistics Authority.
Key points:
- In July 2012 the total GB retail production of animal feed was up 6.8% compared with July 2011
- In July 2012 the total GB raw material usage in the retail production of animal feed was up 7.0% compared with July 2011
- In July 2012 the total GB integrated feed production was down -3.6% compared with July 2011
- For the period April to June 2012 quarterly average prices of animal feedingstuffs
following:
Cattle and calf feed - £223 per Tonne
Pig feed - £258 per Tonne
Poultry feed - £268 per Tonne
Sheep feed - £222 per Tonne
