Print This Page Eats meats west - Japanese visit Yorkshire pig-breeding company
UK - With a distinct lack of sushi bars in the East Yorkshire village of Beeford, international pig-breeding company ACMC treated a delegation of Japanese visitors to a buffet luncheon, which included a very traditional British delicacy - ham sandwiches!

During their visit to ACMC they were shown the company's nucleus farm and commercial product evaluation unit, where pigs are assessed for economic merit.
"Like all pig farmers, the Japanese are concerned with improving their production efficiency and were particularly interested in the extra number of piglets born and reared by our Meidam gilt," commented ACMC managing director, Matthew Curtis.
