UK - A farm on the Shropshire/Staffordshire border has a host of new inhabitants after taking a special delivery. Pig Paradise Farm, between Market Drayton and Eccleshall, has the UK’s only curly-coated pigs.And on Saturday one of the sows gave birth to a bouncing litter of five piglets — the only ones to be born in this country.
Owner Tony York spent 10 years trying to bring the rare Mangalitza breed to Britain from its homeland in Hungary.
He finally succeeded in March when 14 sows and three boars arrived at the farm, and now the herd has increased with the tiny new additions.
