Robert L. Imler, vice president of community and government relations for RiverStone Group Inc., which owns the land where the Triumph Foods processing plant will be located, sat alone at a table where he took notes through an informational meeting at The Boulevard, a reception hall in Moline.

“You’re a stand-up guy for even showing up today,” said Jim Dietrich, of Silvis, Ill., who attended the meeting. He’s been there through hours of meetings. “I’m just gathering information,” Imler said. “I want to educate myself on the issues.”
