Print This Page Views sought on animal feed guidance
UK - The Food Standards Agency has published draft guidance on the labelling of compound animal feeds (feeds with two or more ingredients).
The EC rules mean that manufacturers must declare all ingredients according to their percentage by weight within a tolerance of 15%.
These rules were originally adopted in 2003, but had been suspended until the European Court of Justice ruled on the validity of the European Commission Directive in question.
The Agency is now seeking comments on the draft guidance before the final version is published. The closing date for comments is 30 November 2006.
