ScourmuneŽ Improves Compliance in Prevention of Scours with Bilingual English-Spanish Label
US - In response to customer feedback, SPAH has announced it will be discontinuing the ScourmuneŽ 25 dose vaccine (NDC# 0061-056206).This will be replaced with Scourmune 50 dose NDC # 0061-056207.
Not only will Scourmune now be available in a more convenient size, but it will carry a bilingual English-Spanish label to help ensure compliance on the farm (see label below).
Scourmune has been proven safe and efficacious when used as an aid to prevent scours in neonatal pigs caused by Escherichia coli pilus types K88, K99, 987P, and Type 1 when used according to label directions.
These four pilus types are the most prevalent in the US. E. coli K99 isolates have been shown to express F41 pilus antigen as well as the K99 pilus (Morris J. A. et.al J. Gen Microbiol 1980:118, 107-113, Runnels P. L. et al Infect Immun 1987:55, 555-558).
