Print This Page Pig farming practice code issued in Hong Kong
HONG KONG - The Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department has released a code of practice on pig farming to safeguard public health and minimise environmental problems.The code covers farm management, movement of livestock, disease monitoring and prevention, and the import and delivery of livestock.
The department's Assistant Director Dr Liu Kwei-kin today said a consultation exercise is garnering farmers' views on the issue. It will end in May.
