Print This Page Dutch delegation visits Chinese TOPIGS farm
NETHERLANDS - A Dutch delegation representing the meat trade, was in China on a fact finding tour of it's pork industry. The group visited a local pig farm which using TOPIGS high-health genetics.
The delegation visited a high health unit with 2000 sows and an in-house nucleus breeding system. It was part of a trip to the IMS World Pork Conference, that was held in Nanjing.
The visit gave a good insight into the way TOPIGS operates in China. One of the delegates was Mr Jos Ramekers of the Dutch Product Boards Livestock, Meat and Eggs (PVE). He reported this visit in his weblog at www.meatandmeal.nl, the website who provided the picture.
TOPIGS was also present at the conference and the exhibition. It was a good opportunity to promote the company.
