Print This Page Pig farming issue settled
MALAYSIA - The pig farming issue in Malacca has been settled, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak."The decision made should make everyone happy, including the farmers," he told reporters here yesterday.
Earlier yesterday Najib met Malacca Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam and MCA leaders, including party president Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting, on the matter.
"An announcement on the decision will be made by the Malacca Chief Minister," he said.
MCA vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Fong Chan Onn, who also attended the meeting, thanked the Government for extending the deadline for the farmers to sell their pigs.
