Print This Page Swine workshop scheduled in Waseca
US - A workshop on artificial insemination in swine will take place 13-14 December at the University of Minnesota Southern Research and Outreach Center in Waseca.Classroom instruction will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, and hands-on instruction in the swine research facilities will be from 8 a.m. to noon Friday, Dec. 14.
The Swine Training Program educational series is presented by Minnesota Pork Board, Pork Checkoff, Minnesota Extension Service and University of Minnesota Swine Center.
This workshop is designed to give participants an increased understanding of the factors necessary to successfully breed females using modern artificial insemination techniques. The course is appropriate for people with limited knowledge of breeding swine as well as experienced pork producers who wish to review the basics and stay abreast on recent developments.
