Print This Page PRRS Outbreak in South Viet Nam
VIET NAM - A Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS) outbreak has been reported in Vietnam's southern Bac Lieu province.The local press says that 14 pigs in Dong Hai district are affected by the disease. The Department of Animal Health under the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development are monitoring the situation and local veterinary agencies have culled the infected pigs to prevent the disease from spreading.
Agriculture minister Cao Duc Phat has asked bordering provinces and relevant agencies to intensify bio-security and limits the cross-border transport and trade of animals
