Terry, who runs the family Higher Monkton Farm, Stogursey near Bridgewater with his sons Paul and Simon, has seen his overheads soar as increasingly affluent Asian countries, such as China and India, increase thier demand for wheat and Soya. It has led to a shortage of raw materials in this country.

Speaking to the Bridgwater Mercury he said the industry was under immense pressure at the moment with the price increases. He believes action must be taken to support the nation's farmers.
