Print This Page ASF Reported in Namibia
NAMIBIA - The veterinary authorities have reported an outbreak of African Swine Fever (ASF), the first since 2005.
Namibian authorities have sent a report dated 29 October to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE), concerning a new outbreak of ASF. It started on 1 October at Erongo in the centre of the country. At a small piggery with 174 animals, 91 died and 27 were destroyed.
