During the visit Seiichi Kondo was welcomed by CEO Kjeld Johannesen who gave the Ambassador a briefing on the company. The group then proceeded to tour Danish Crown’s slaughterhouse facilities in Horsens where Kondo had the opportunity to follow the production at one of the world’s most modern slaughterhouses.

The Ambassador's visit at Danish Crown was part of a small round trip in Jutland. The Japanese Ambassador, who was appointed this autumn, is visiting Japan's new Consulate General in Jutland for the first time.

Danish Crown’s head office operates as registered office for the Japanese Consulate General in Jutland, since CEO Kjeld Johannesen was appointed Honorary Consul General of Japan in Aarhus last year.
