Print This Page Lower Price for Danish Producers
DENMARK - Danish pig producers are likely to see a further drop in their incomes this year with the prediction that the pig price will average 116p.This is a small reduction on a forecast made in December and is 2p lower than the average price for last year.
The Danes foresee 114p in the first half of the year and 124p in the second half.
The forecast average price has been reduced because the global recession means demand for pigmeat is falling, according to a Danish Meat Association market analyst.
