Pork Sales Recovering After False Flu Alarm

The Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries yesterday said that the farm price of 110 kilograms of pork, equivalent to one pig, which had dropped as low as W277,000 on 30 April, has risen to W359,000 as of Friday. It is still lower than the price before the flu outbreak, W371,000 on 24 April, but considering it dropped nearly 30 per cent after the attack, the price is recovering.

The amount of pork sold is also increasing, reports The Chosun Ilbo. People are now aware that there is no risk of flu infection if pork is properly cooked.
