Print This Page Russia Bans Imports from Chile and Argentina
RUSSIA - The authorities have banned imports of pork from Chile and Argentina.Federal Agency for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) has banned imports of live hogs, not heat treated pork and pork products from Chile and Argentina to the Russian Federation, reports MeatRussia.
The Agency explains it was forced to make the decision in a view of deterioration of epidemic situation with H1N1 flu there.
The restrictions are imposed on products manufactured and packed after 30 June 2009.
