Ag Guide Open for Comment

The Federation of Animal Science Societies (FASS) announces the opening of a period of public comment (1 July to 31 August 2009) for review of the revised Guide for the Care and Use of Agricultural Animals in Teaching and Research (Ag Guide).

The Ag Guide has been revised by a committee of 62 animal scientists, veterinarians and engineers over the past year. The revision has been through a process of peer review by three fully constituted Institutional Animal Care and Use Committees at major institutions.

FASS requests comments to improve the document's clarity and consistency with the current scientific literature. Please e-mail comments to agguide@assochq.org by 31 August 2009.

A final version of the Ag Guide will be published shortly after public comments are considered.
