Calling All Pig Managers
UK - Time is running out for managers wanting to join the first BPEX Professional Manager Development programme.Applications must be in by 16 September 2009. The scheme will start in January 2010 and will run for 12 months. It will give every participant the opportunity to develop both their management potential and overall understanding of pig production. Similar courses have proven not only to benefit the individual, but also their company and the wider industry.
Managers will attend a number of training sessions over the course of the year. Each session will kick off with an evening presentation focusing on a particular sector of the industry, followed by a day of management training delivered by Cedar Associates. In addition, work-based projects relevant to the manager’s current role will need to be completed. Successful completion of the course will result in a nationally recognised qualification from the Institute of Leadership and Management. Individuals’ background and qualifications will not be the focus for selection: it is their potential and ambition that are key.
