Print This Page ASF Claims Two More Wild Boar in Russia
RUSSIA - The veterinary authorities have reported the deaths of two more wild boar from African swine fever (ASF) to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).
The Russian veterinary authority sent Follow up Report No. 3 dated 13 October to OIE.
It reports that two more wild pigs have been found dead – this time, on 10 October 2009 in Yashalta in the republic of Kalmykia.
The presence of the ASF virus has been confirmed.
