Print This Page OIE Reports New Outbreak of H1N1 Flu in Indiana
US - The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) has reported a new outbreak of H1N1 influenza in the state of Indiana in the US.
The country's veterinary officials sent an immediate notification to the OIE on 3 November 2009.
The status of the outbreak continues to be monitored. The source of the outbreak is still unknown.
The USDA, Animal and Plant Inspection Service (APHIS), and the Indiana State Board of Animal Health (BOAH) are conducting a comprehensive epidemiological investigation of the event.
The authorities have applied several measures to curb the spread of the disease in the country.
