Marfrig Completes Keystone Acquisition
13 October 2010BRAZIL - Marfrig has completed the take over of Keystone Foods.
The acquisition, which was announced in June, sees Marfrig take control of an international operation processing beef, pork, poultry and fish products with centres around the world including the Middle East.
Marfrig now has 151 operations in 22 countries after the Keystone take over was approved by the EU and US trust authorities.
The acqusition was worth $1.26 billion.
Keystone customes include McDonalds, Campbells, ConAgra, Yum Brands and Chipolte.
