EU Trade Gap in Meat Forecast to Widen
EU - The outlook for agriculture in the medium term presents a mixed picture, according to a new report, Prospects for Agricultural Markets and Income in the EU 2010-2020 from the European Commission's Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development. The trade gap in meat is forecast to widen and while the output of poultry meat and pig meat will increase over the decade, that of beef, sheep and goat is set to decline.
