Record High Hog Prices for 2011
US - 2011 hog prices were record high. Based on preliminary data, the average base price of barrows and gilts in 2011 was $65.30/cwt of live weight ($86.50/cwt of carcass), writes Ron Plain in his Hog Outlook report for 30 December.
