Boar Corpse Identified as ASF in Tver Region

RUSSIA - Tver Interregional Veterinary Laboratory has investigated samples of pathological material taken from a wild boar, found on the territory belonging to Torzhokskiy society of hunters and fishermen, and has identified it as having African Swine Fever (ASF).
The boar corpse was burned and the bottom ash disposed of. The location of the corpse was also disinfected.
Last year, the Tver region recorded 16 outbreaks of disease and, therefore, Rosselkhoznadzor has repeatedly appealed to the leadership of the area to strengthen measures to combat the spread of disease.
