Russian Agro-holding Invest in Ukraine Pig Complex
04 June 2012UKRAINE - Russian agro-holding BEZRK-Belgrankorm is to invest $12 million in building a new pig complex in the Poltava region of Ukraine.
Poltava Governor Oleksandr Udovychenko said that according to the agreements reached, BEZRK-Belgrankorm will rebuil a breeding complex for 12,000 cattle that it has already bought and then build a pig farm on the site.
The work is expected to be completed before the end of the year, according to a report on Black Sea Grain.
Initially, the pig complex will produce 5,500 tonnes of pork a year and later it will increase annual production to 40,000 tonnes.
