Russia Reports ASF Outbreak
25 June 2012RUSSIA - The Russian veterinary authorities have reported an outbreak of African swine fever (ASF) in Volgogradskaya Oblast.
The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received Follow-up Report No. 85 on Friday, 22 June 2012.
A total of 25 pigs were found susceptible, out of which 4 cases and deaths were reported. No animals were destroyed and/or slaughtered.
The source of the outbreak remains inconclusive.
