Government Allocates $3.3 Million for ASF-Affected Farmers

UKRAINE - The state budget has allocated $3.3 million of compensation for farmers who have suffered losses as a result of African Swine Fever (ASF).

The first payments started without delay a week ago.

Cattle farmers are also being compensated $436,000 for losses.

The Chief Inspector of Veterinary Medicine in the Zaporozhye region, Valentine Stulova, said that animal transportation has resumed and meat can be eaten again.
