Christensen Farms Announces Management Changes09 November 2012
US - The Board of Directors of Christensen Farms & Feedlots, Inc. has announced several Board and management changes in the wake of the tragic death of CEO, Bob Christensen.
Lynn Christensen was appointed Chairman of the Board of Christensen Farms, and current Chief Financial Officer Glenn Stolt was named Interim Chief Executive Officer. In addition, the Board ratified the role of the existing Advisory Board and added one member, Dr Tim Loula of the Swine Vet Center based in St Peter, Minnesota.
According to Lynn Christensen: "While the passing of Bob is a tragic loss not just to Christensen Farms, but the entire pork industry, we are committed to advancing the vision of the organization to be one of the premier pork production companies in the world. This is the best thing we can do to honor Bob's legacy."
He added: "Bob has assembled a talented senior management team that is made up of individuals with significant industry experience, combined with others who have brought complementary experience from other businesses. Under Glenn's leadership, the senior management team is poised to advance the strategic direction of the company while at the same time overseeing day-to-day operations."
The Christensen Farms Advisory Board is comprised of individuals who each bring a key element of strategic and operational direction and experience to the company. Glenn Stolt said of the Advisory Board, "The addition of Dr Loula, a world-renowned swine veterinarian and biosecurity expert, further complements an already strong advisory board. The senior management team and I look forward to working with the Board in meeting the mission of the organisation."
In addition to newly-appointed Dr. Loula, the Christensen Farms Advisory Board consists of:

- Gary Koch, Partner, Gislason & Hunter, LLP
- Ken Noyes, Former CEO of Schwan's Foods
- Randy Stoecker, Former General Manager, Murphy Family Farms
