LATVIA - The Latvian veterinary authorities have reported five further outbreaks of classical swine fever in Dagdas county and Kraslavas county, affecting wild boar populations.

11 cases were reported. The 11 animals affected by hog cholera were destroyed as a preventive measure.

The OIE reports that hunting and sampling of wild boar is still on-going.

The source of the outbreaks remains inconclusive.
