Inspectors found broken and inadequate coolers in a delivery van and 100 kilos worth of sausage meat in ‘advanced stages of decomposition’.

Lack of ice refrigeration placed the storage in breach of national food safety and security guidelines.

The shipment, which consisted of 170 kg of cheese, 295 kg of sausages, 18 kilos of vacuum packed meats and 100 kilos of rotted sausage, was disposed at a landfill site.
