Brazilian Pig and Poultry Promoted in South Korea13 May 2014
BRAZIL - Brazilian poultry and pig products will be highlighted in Seoul, South Korea, where representatives of the Association of Animal Protein (ABPA), in partnership with the Brazilian Agency for the Promotion of Exports and Investments (Apex-Brazil), will be participating, between 13 and 16 May, at Seoul Food 2014, the largest food fair in the country.
In an exclusive institutional stand for poultry and pig products of Brazil, the ABPA will foster new business for exports of poultry meat to the South Korean market.
Brazil exported 19,200 tons of poultry products between January and April this year, 23.7 per cent higher compared to the same period in 2013.
During the event, the ABPA promoted the quality, sustainability and excellent sanitary status of Brazilian poultry, eggs and pork.
"South Korea has been facing problems with outbreaks of Avian Influenza in its territory. We want, during the Seoul Food, to renew our bonds as safe food suppliers to the country. With this, in addition to expanding our export basket of birds, we are streamlining the process of opening up the export of Brazilian pig," said Francisco Turra, president & CEO of ABPA.
