Russia Approves More Brazilian Pork Establishments for Export

BRAZIL - There are now 93 Brazilian slaughterhouses able to sell meat to Russia.

On the 14 August the Russian health service approved four Brazilian establishments for export of pig meat and pork offal.

With these four additions, there are now 93 establishments which are able to export to Russia.

"These commitments are the result of an extensive agenda of negotiations, which began more than six months ago between the two governments and enhance the quality and safety of food production in Brazil," said the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, Neri Geller.
