Nine New Outbreaks of African Swine Fever Reported in Latvia

LATVIA - There has been nine new outbreaks of African Swine Fever (ASF) confirmed in three regions including Kraslava in the south-east, as well as the northern areas of Burtnieki and Valka.

As a result of the outbreaks 38 wild boar contracted ASF resulting in one death and the destruction of the other 37. 

The source of the outbreak is inconclusive.
